Description: crude oil pipeline expansion, resulting in enhanced Bakken production
Rooney Engineering Inc. (REI) was founded in Williston, North Dakota over 30 years ago, and has been delivering engineering, construction administrative and inspection services for this region since inception. The Bakken Oil Shale Play has dominated the domestic crude oil production environment for several years. Beginning in 2006, REI has applied our expertise to the expansion of the crude pipeline capacity for Bakken, enhancing production significantly. REI’s involvement in this project has included:
- Pump stations exceeding 60,000 HP
- 390,000 bbls of API tank, new and rebuilt storage
- 250 miles of pipeline hydro-test
- Meter and regulation stations
- Multiple truck load/unload racks
- Railcar load rack
- Hydraulic modeling/commercial feasibility review
- De-commissioning of pipeline systems
